Dispatch Update Revamps Visual and Censorship Options on Nintendo Switch Platforms
June 23, 2026
This update introduces a new way for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 users to experience a version of Dispatch that is less restricted. Players can now toggle an option in the settings to reduce many of the usual limitations found in the game.
For many months, users on these systems had to contend with a heavily modified version of Dispatch. Now, the developer has offered a free downloadable add-on that allows access to more explicit visuals, including visible curvaceous features, a more natural look at rear contours, and a notorious offensive gesture. In addition, a new set of content filters has been implemented for both the PC and PS5 editions.
Based on the developer's latest update, , some elements will remain under restriction on the Nintendo platforms. Certain explicit visuals and audio cues, such as graphic dream sequences in one of the episodes, will still be covered up. Players are offered a few creative options to mask parts of the game, including:
- Mosaic censorship
- Blackout censorship
- Chaotic censorship
The Chaotic filter stands out by using any available material to obscure elements, even dressing a character in casual denim shorts as an example. Activating this add-on is accomplished through the filters tab found in the game’s settings. Unfortunately, due to local regulatory restrictions, this free add-on will not be available in Japan, where only the Blackout option is permitted.
While the HR Violations update may not align perfectly with everyone’s expectations, it provides an engaging choice for players who prefer either a fully dressed or a more liberated portrayal in their game experience. Many are hoping for additional playful updates as the game continues to evolve into future seasons.
