11-bit Studios have pushed back the PC release date for Frostpunk 2 to refine the game further and to keep players updated and has initiated a new series called "City Unbound." In the premiere episode, the directions and overview of the game setting were shared by Jakub Stokalski, the game and design director, revealing the management conduct of players over The City.

For a brief summary, the preceding game's main character, The Captain, is no longer. Players now assume the role of The Steward, collaborating with diverse factions and implementing laws to enhance living conditions. Nonetheless, each faction holds a unique vision for the future of humanity, hence balancing their requests whilst ensuring survival in the severe freeze is crucial.

Incoming episodes will shed more light on the factions, the advanced scope of building, and the potential exploration into the iced wilderness to recover different sites.

The much-anticipated Frostpunk 2 will be released on September 20th for PC. Xbox Series X/S and PS5 versions will follow in the future.
